Who we are

Breaking Barriers Fitness ("we" or "us") runs this website and the gym at 11950 Tourmaline Dr., Peyton, Colorado 80831. This policy explains what information the website collects, what happens to the messages you send us through it, and how membership checkout works.

What we collect

Our own pages do not set cookies. They have no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts, and there are no accounts, logins or newsletter. The membership checkout is a separate ABC Glofox page with its own analytics and cookies, covered under Membership checkout through ABC Glofox. On our own pages, we receive two kinds of information.

Server logs

Our host, Railway, keeps standard server logs when your browser requests a page. A log entry records details of the request, such as your IP address, browser, the page requested, the time, and the page that linked you here. The logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.

Emails you choose to send

The question form and the assessment form on our Contact page do not send anything to this website. When you press send, your own email app opens a message addressed to us, and nothing leaves your device until you send it from there.

That message contains whatever you type. Depending on the form, that can be your name, age, email address, phone number, goals, schedule, training history and anything else you add. The same applies when you email us directly.

Membership checkout through ABC Glofox

Membership sign-up and payment run on ABC Glofox, a gym management service from ABC Fitness. The checkout on our Memberships page is a Glofox page (app.glofox.com) shown in a frame, and the link that opens checkout in a new tab goes to the same Glofox page.

What you enter there, including your contact and payment details, goes to ABC Glofox and not to this website. ABC Glofox processes it on our behalf to run your membership. Its pages load their own analytics and payment providers, such as Google Analytics and Stripe, which may set cookies inside the checkout frame. These providers may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. We do not control those services.

How we use information

• To answer your questions and respond to assessment requests.
• To set up and run memberships, personal training and classes.
• To keep this website running and secure, using the server logs.

We do not use your information for advertising.

Who receives it

• Our mailbox. Messages go to [email protected], a Microsoft Outlook account, so Microsoft stores them for us. Your own email provider also keeps a copy in your sent mail.
• Our host. Railway keeps the server logs described above.
• ABC Glofox and its payment processors, for membership checkout and billing.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Our links to Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising (sometimes called cross-context behavioral advertising).

Health information

People sometimes tell us about injuries, health conditions or medications when they ask about training. Please keep medical details out of email and the forms. Regular email is not end-to-end encrypted, so it can be read on the servers it passes through. We would rather talk through your health history in person at the gym.

If you do send us health details, we use them only to respond to you and plan your training.

How long we keep it

We keep the messages you send us and your membership records only as long as we need them to respond to you and run memberships. Railway keeps server logs, and ABC Glofox keeps checkout records, under their own retention practices.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you have sent us. Call or email us using the details under Contact us. We may need to confirm who you are before we change or delete anything, and some membership and payment records may have to be kept for legal or accounting reasons.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our own pages do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to switch off. They work the same whether or not your browser sends one.

The membership checkout is different. When the Glofox checkout frame loads on our Memberships page, Google Analytics and the payment providers inside it may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. ABC Fitness decides how its checkout responds to Do Not Track and GPC signals, and we cannot guarantee that it honors them. See the ABC Fitness privacy policy linked above.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. A parent or guardian who wants to ask about youth training should contact us directly. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us personal information, we will delete it.

California residents

The California Online Privacy Protection Act asks us to say whether other parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site. On our own pages, they do not. When the Glofox checkout frame loads on our Memberships page, Google Analytics and the payment providers inside it may do so, as described under Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Wherever you live, including California and Colorado, you can make the requests described under Your choices.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the website handles information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
